Most of the NATO countries give more foreign aid as a percentage of GDP than the US. They too should ask for the US to pick up the slack.

“Pay your bills” is something only a simpleton would say who doesn’t understand NATO defence spending. The spending is on their own defence. NATO members have to 2024 to meet the agreed upon 2% requirement. Of course trump wants other countries to spend 4% on military spending since he is bought and paid for by military defence contractors.

I have not heard anybody comment on what Europe owes the United States for saving them twice. The fact is we sacrificed in WWI and WWII when we could have set out the European side of the conflicts. What would Germany look like today without that sacrifice and the follow-up Marshal Plan. What would they look like if the United States didn't help Germany's industries when they agreed to these tariffs? We should have never agreed to the unification of Germany- it's only going to lead to more trouble.

Trump needs to stop antagonizing every country in the world. Defense spending in the US is insane because the USA is so hated.
