Thank you for playing and teaching this bass part correctly. Rarely is the bass part right when I hear other people play it. In fact, when Neil Young plays it live, his bass player doesn't even play it right. To me, there is magic in the original recording.

excellent! It's good that this video exists. I need there to be more like these from Neil. I would like to find one with cowgirl in the sand. Do you know of any or any place where the sheet music can be obtained? thank you

Hey very good playing and the sound is very close to the original! Which strings do you use for this sound? Flatwounds?
Best regards

I am at 1.17…I don’t play bass but I want to learn and I’m a bit confused. Over the tab it says D5 (power chord no 3rd), the notes however are F G and A, C D And D….so are notes besides D and A just scale notes being used melodically to get you to that D and A?

Could you work on a blues jimi tabs/cover, like red house or bleeding heart or something like thaat

I don’t play bass but I’m trying to find the time….at 1.17, I see you moving from a flat 3rd, to the 4th, to the 5th, and then flat 7th to the first. The chord over the tab is D5, so no 3rd, if I look at those notes like I was appregiating it’s something like a Dm/M add 4 (I’m new)….so are all those other notes basically the bass melody line? Runs between the chords? Not to ask stupid questions I just want to understand what the bass is doing in the context of the mix. Thanks.
