About The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO):

The Lord of the Rings Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for Microsoft Windows and OS X set in a fantasy universe based upon J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth writings. It takes place during the time period of The Lord of the Rings.

Players can create their own characters from four races and nine classes to explore Middle-Earth, where they can encounter many characters from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

LOTRO is a Free-to-Play (F2P) MMO, meaning that you do not have to pay a thing to download the game and get started, although optional subscriptions and micro-transaction options are available.

After hearing that Miller oversaw Shadow of War, I'm a bit skeptical. I'm not going to argue the series from a gameplay perspective, but I was not impressed by the lore breaking they did in Shadow of War. I hope they at least try to stay consistent with Lotr lore. That was one of the things I admired about Lotro.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this though i don't know how I'd feel about it if it doesn't include areas like isengard, gondor, rohan, moria and so on though i think it would be awesome if it took place during the time when Aragorn was known as Thorongil

MMO's made as a F2P model from the start is doomed to fail. We've seen it happen before and I bet it'll happen now again

ssg they fail to make lotro better, they ignore to work on pvp all the time, many ppl stop lotro cause of the pvp. they ban ppl who make reports for exploiters in forum and they allowed the exploiters to conntinue exploit. so what is next? they can wipe the game, or they cant open something new.so the best is a another company to make a new lotro. thats all. lets hope the new lotro has pvp like all the mmos.and for the ppl who type atm lotro is not pvp game, the answer is. yes is not pvp game but you pay to play pvp.LOL
