I can't blame the guys for liking quiet girls, I used to listen to music whenever I had the chance just to avoid the loudness of the school, but misunderstanding being quite for being submissive is a huge leap in logic. Then again, HS boys aren't known for thinking with their upper head, so it's kinda understandable. Facepalm worthy, but understandable nonetheless.
Reminiscing a bit about my HS days... I am glad I was never romantically involved tbh, 90% of the girls from my schools were VERY promiscuous and bounced from a relationship to another like it was nothing, and that disgusted me quite a bit.
Not to mention that I was fat as a kid, so in HS I still had quite a bit of trauma that set my mind in "you don't have a chance, so don't even try" mode, so love never crossed my mind even as ball of condensed testosterone in middle of puberty.
