Yoga is not supposed to be a workout or a physical exercise 🤦🏽‍♀️ it’s a spiritual practice! Asanas are only the means to reach states of awareness and connection.

Thats exactly what I do. A few months ago I started yoga, while doing strenght exercisses in the gym. Its a perfect balance for me, what I learn from breathing in yoga I can use in gym and vice versa, same goes for being strong in the yoga poses, because I have muscles, mobility and balance because of both.

I do both! I also do Pilates, and will be working my way back into running. All movement is good for the body 😊

I need to get back to weight lifting. My favorite yoga instructor is a former competitive body builder, and she still weight lifts every day. She's a boss in her 50s.
