Clear UV resin - here’s what it looked like after 2 months!

I know there are many brands of UV resin and some hold up better than others. I find that they work best with small projects as a topcoat for darker colors. If you leave them clear or over white, the yellow will definitely show more.

I use let's resin UV resin.. one of my Galaxy balls has been hanging on the rear view mirror of my car for close to 3 months and is still completely clear.. also another piece has been sitting in one of my home windows for over 4 months while I was testing some homemade alcohol inks see if they were color fast and would fade.. I will add though that I like to use Krylon clear glaze on some of my pieces because it helps with UV protection, but the let's resin UV does a great job by itself as well.

Jdiction is much better. I'm sure you know, it sucks when you make something beautiful and then the sun ruins it lol. I've heard good things by other uv resin artists about Jdiction. I haven't personally tested if it yellows over time, but It works well for jewelry and little charms I make.

If you use a cheap uv resin, seal it with uv resistant varnish.

I think it's just that brand i make orgone with uv resin for almost 5 months and my projects from when i started still clear in color also have some pieces outside for a month now through rain and heavy snow and still clear so maybe it's that brand i use this uv resin from hobby lobby

I only buy JDiction now when I buy new but I still have to use up some of the other stuff I have. What I found is, that when you put a tiny amount of purple color in it, it is not noticable in the clrear piece and it cancels out the yellowing for quite some time.

I use jdiction uv resin. Never have any problems with it. I threw away all the ones from China.

keep the bottle still for 3 seconds so we know what brand it is. Thanks for sharing
