I DID NOT expect these golf clubs to be SO GOOD!? When using golf clubs its often the case that the most expensive golf clubs are the best ones. but what about holiday golf... when you play golf with rental golf clubs? in this video I test a set of rental golf clubs which I could not believe how good they are! What are the best golf clubs of 2022? the best rental clubs of 2022? with all the new releases its often the case you will see last years models reduced in price. In this case we have a full Callaway set of golf clubs. Not quite the new Callaway Rogue ST... but the Callaway Rogue irons are in the bag... and the Callaway Mavrik driver... Callaway Rogue ST vs Callaway Mavrik driver? what is the difference?

I played Rouge irons for 3 years and always loved them! Last April I upgraded to APEX 21 and so far I am very happy with my choice to change.

Had a rental set of Mavrik woods/hybrids and Apex Forged irons last year in Austin. Honestly one of the best sets of clubs I’ve ever played overall. Certainly much better than I expected from a rental set! And it really showed how the Mavrik family was so consistent and forgiving! I didn’t believe it until I mishit a bunch of drives that still went pretty far and reasonably straight.

Gorgeous looking course, and nice gear for hire clubs too. Love the putter and wedges, but personally of I could pick I'd want irons with a thinner topline than the standard rogues.

I played in the Staes in 2018 at Bullie Rock MD and the rentals were fantastic 716 AP2 and 916 metals. Great set, great round

I used a set of Rogue irons in a rental set in Australia two years ago. They were a good game improvement iron-- I hit a bunch of solid shots. Just got a Maverick Max 3 wood off Callaway Pre-Owned and looking forward to hitting it off the deck..

I love my Mavrik. I consider them among the more underrated clubs out there. They were overshadowed by the Sim and later Sim2 but I still hit my 9 degree standard Mavrik 10 to 15 yards farther than the Sim2Max my son uses. It was longer and just as accurate as a G425Max that I tried out at the club and, in all honesty, I probably won't change driver or 3W for quite a while. As for rental clubs, I haven't seen the need. I haven't flown overseas but the cost to fly clubs in the US for most carriers is 30 bucks both ways so I just bring my own. The few times I have used rentals or loaners the clubs were very low end starter sets and not set up in a way that I like.

Yes! Definitely could be a great series. Invite regular golfers to join you for a game when back in the UK. Switching clubs for a game and see how you play with all different kinds of sets.

James you were spot on with the comment about using forgiving clubs when on holiday. That's the whole point of a holiday, to have fun and and erase any everyday stresses! Only takes a couple of wayward shots off the toe or heel to get the old brain thinking negative points. For me me anything with a cavity back and not too thick top line would do. I liked the look of the Pings you used in the first rental club video. " ROBINSON RENTALS " could definitely be a nice little side line for you? 😉🤣 Oh! Foxy seemed a bit quiet in this one, he wasn't hung over was he? 🤔

I game the Mavrik driver and love the sound and feel. I tested the Ping and Cobra before I tried the Mavrik, it is around 10 to 15 yards longer for me. I think the big key to driving is finding the right shaft.

I wangled my way to a round on a private course while on holiday. The pro was a gentleman, and he loaned me his clubs for the round. Butter-knife blades, stiff shafts etc. To this day, I do not know how or why, but I had my round of the year. At home, it would have been a debacle.

That rental set is almost literally my exact set! And I really don't care when people dig me for being a matchy (A*hole) they're brilliant clubs and lovely to strike! Feel great, play great and worth it.!.!
