I am with Josh. I was opposed to committing a lot of money to Salah because the drop-off will inevitable come, but his goal contributions are almost impossible to replace, so you have to extend him as long as it is not outrageous. Possibly overpaying him for a couple of years is not the end of the world. And because of what he has done for the club, nobody else on the team can really look at Salah's salary and get upset. He is not comparable to anybody else. I would not feel the same way about Trent. I think paying Trent too much can upset the entire team's salary structure. I think LFC will find a way to keep Salah and VVD. I don't feel like VVD has unrealistic demands. As long as we keep those two, I am personally not that bothered about Trent's contract.
