India-China border tensions: China pulls back from PP 14, disengagement in other regions underway

In a massive development in the India-China disengagement process, China has pulled back with its presence almost gone from the PP 14 region. The Chinese troops are also expected to withdraw from the other regions of PP 15 where the retreat is underway. Similarly, in PP 17 as well the Chinese troops have begun to withdraw. This comes a day after the disengagement process was initiated by both countries.

India and China have been engaged in a border standoff for three months now, which peaked in June at Galwan valley when a violent clash broke out. 20 soldiers of the Indian armed forces were martyred in the fight, while casualties on the Chinese side were significant but remain undisclosed.
