This sketch is spot-on. At the same time, I've lost both my parents, all my aunts and uncles, and all my grandparents. Doesn't seem possible, I'm just in my 30s, but I'm the last living member of the family in the state. So the sketch lands a little differently for me. My hometown is every bit as dorky as this one and then some, but I'd give almost anything to go home for Christmas one more time!

As someone who lives abroad, this is eerily accurate. Choosing between a real vacation or going home, the bleached towels more like from 1984, the deep TV, visiting old high school parking lot, cleaning out old boxes, avoiding businesses because I'll run into someone from high school.
