This radio had not been placed in service since it was built, according to the eBay seller. It set on my top shelf for a few years and with the COVID-19 stay home thing, I decided to get it running. The 20 meter band Chrystal would not oscillate in the HFO circuit, but with some help from the Heathkit users on Facebook, and a borrowed grid dip meter, It was discovered that the circuit would not resonate below 23.5MHz and the Chrystal needed to use 22.895MHz. An additional 10pF cap across that coil solved the problem and the radio is now aligned and working. Recently refurbished
