I recently picked up the
K&F Concept X-Series 68 inch/172cm Carbon Fiber Tripod with 36mm Metal Ball Head (model number X284C4+BH-36) and I've really liked it. Quite sturdy, easy to deploy bc of the twist locks, nice carbon fiber legs, and the ball head actually feels great. The center column can also be inverted for macro photography.

I love your videos, keep it up :)

got this tripod and have been using it as a C camera tripod for about a year, actually pretty good for the size/weight. You can pull the head off and put on a different one too

I have a couple cheap aluminum and plastic tripods much like the one you feature here, but one day not long ago found an old all metal tripod that looks like it was made back in the 60's or 70's. Built like a tank. It's a bit on the heavy side to be honest, but not excessively so. The thing looks well used but is complete, everything works and is rock solid at any height and any adjustment angle, and would easily hold anything I have. I occasionaly use a Newer ball head similar to yours on it and can always depend on that combo to do the job. I think the brand name is Stanrite, made in USA. Paid $6 Canadian for it. I'm no pro by any means and don't do a lot of traveling where every gram of weight makes a difference, but have taken it with me on some car and even biking trips. I trust the Stanrite toughness and stability in rough situations a lot more than I do the others. Considering how well it performes at the price I paid for it, I don't mind the greater weight.

When I first got into photography, I bought a cheap tripod from Walmart that I still use. It is so lightweight that I don't care about some of its flimsiness. Every time I look into getting a real tripod, I asked myself, do I really need it?

Thanks for this video, I needed a good idea for how to upgrade

I somehow found a "knock-off" version of this called the Triopo k268. It looks and functions just like the K&F as far as I can tell and costed $25

I was a little nervous seeing the Alexa teetering on the tripod. I imagine that plastic mount was screaming, "Get off me fatty!". lol

Hey foxtail, right now at the moment I'm trying to buy a camera bag for the canon r100 and the starter kit lens plus the 55-210. Do you have any recommendations? Also, do you think this budget tripod is worth it for me and the r100? Thanks and awesome video btw.

Would it be suitable for my cheaper beginner telescope. The one that came with the Amazon one, moves all over the place:( Would this allow me to see the moon good, at least?

Do the legs fold all the way upside down so you can have the camera hang underneath?

Hey! I’m looking to start my own YouTube channel and was wondering if you have any used or unused cameras you’d be willing to give away. I’d really appreciate any help. Thanks!
