EDIT 4: my new personal ranking for raiden's best teams after lots of testing are:
1) Raiden/Chev/Bennet/Xiangling. Can replace sara for bennet if C6, not sure which is better yet. If Chev isn't C6 then it's a sidegrade to national IMO.
2)Raiden/Furina/Yelan/xianyun with jean being a worse but still great option.
3) national
4) traditional hyper (but this is the best option if you need grouping)
I think one of raiden's best features nowadays is that her top teams require completely different sets of supports, making her extremely versatile. In addition to easily working both in AOE and in single target.

EDIT 3: chev is a great option for her. Did lots of testing and it feels great. Check out her guide.

EDIT 2: for speedrunning, national and Sara are still often used for raiden because of the front load being very valuable and getting better speedrun times. for extended rotations or more casual players, double hydro furina at least for me in practice feels much much stronger. As well as gcsim calcs also being higher.

EDIT: to the people saying she’s not “top tier DPS”—- she sheets VERY well with Yelan Furina Jean. Especially if you give her a decent weapon. Add that to the QOL that she gives as a unit and she absolutely is a top tier DPS. Although you may disagree this is far from misinformation. I will alter the title though because I think this communicates the same message while also not being quite as rage baity lol

Furina is such a premium character, that I'm noticing a lot of TCs basically slap her into any team with a carry and say the numbers are great. Which is 100% true, but I only have one Furina so it's becoming hard to really understand the underlying strength of a given character without using Furina.

Great video. I stumbled upon this channel during the Ayato banner. I was curious since Im an Ayato main and was pleasantly surprised at the multitude of team building ideas I havent tried yet. Definitely gonna try out some of these Raiden teams. Way too many sweaty gamers get hung up on meta, they forget theres other ways to enjoy the game. Keep up the good work, tons of info and helpful tips from this creator. 👍

People really really really undersell C0 Raiden, especially compared to newer DPS. I've been using her to 36 star abyss almost every cycle for probably over a year at this point. Great single target damage with very decent AoE, pretty flexible teambuilding at this point, and works great with 4 star characters and f2p weapons as well. Also much easier to build on artifacts than some of the newer DPS since her BiS set is in strongbox and a lot of her good teammates also use it.

One thing I think many people take for granted is her battery capabilities. Back when I got her in 2.1, after 2 weeks of building her, Rational carried me through abyss 12 even though my team artifacts was really mid and low cons and 4* weap on all unit, my xingqiu was c1( with r1 sac) xangling was c2(the catch), bennett(the prototype sword) was c3 and I didn’t have the resource to optimize their artifacts for ER substats but suprising with Raiden I rarely find ER issues and also got me through the Dps check of the PMA.
