So I am using mysql and not the gui you used. Created the database and the table in mysql and then proceeded with the tutorial but for some reason when I run the code the terminal only runs the program but doesn't give any output. I am new to all this so some help would be appreciated.

Hi Johan, i tried following this tutorial step by step from the point of installation of the software but i can't get past this error 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO). I've checked online for solutions but nothing seems to work. Help?
