ABOUT Dr. Katie Woodley - The Natural Pet Doctor
=====

Dr. Katie is a small animal integrative veterinarian who developed a passion for natural medicine while I was living in New Zealand. Her vet career was lucky enough to begin in the beautiful country of New Zealand. She was able to see how living off the land by growing our own vegetables and raising our own animals was the way to live the healthiest versions of ourselves. Her pets were lucky to have lots of open space to run around in and were always at the beach or the river.

When they moved back to the States five years ago, her husband, unfortunately, developed an autoimmune disease. As they researched natural medicine options for him to avoid the horrible side effects of the treatment options his doctors were providing him, Dr. Katie realized that she was doing a disservice to her animal patients by not offering these holistic options to them. She began down the integrative medicine route and has never been happier. Through nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, and supplements, every animal can achieve optimal health or feel their best even when they have a chronic illness or disease like cancer. She currently has a certification in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and is continuously learning about the other natural modalities and growing her knowledge base every day!

She started this business to provide pet parents with more resources for natural medicine advice and care because we need to increase awareness of how amazing natural medicine truly is! Dr. Katie's mission is to ensure that all pet parents have access to herbal medicine, supplementation, and nutritional advice throughout their pet's lifetime. One of her greatest joys is the opportunity to collaborate with both pet parents and other veterinary professionals to ensure access to all available integrative options for pet health care.

Your talk was amazing!! You're so knowledgeable on how to take care of a constipated cat. Its so interesting how many herbs and oils we can give our cats to keep them healthy. I love that you explained that the way we feel could also effect our cats and it made me reflect back to when she started experiencing health issues but too bad my cat is super picky. She has been constipated on and off for a year had taken her to the vet twice for it and it was treated but then she started going in small amounts again and they were not moist. I started freaking out again, and thought this was a hopeless situation. I know this is rare but I started praying to Saint Jude for my cat to start passing healthy bowel movements again and I'm telling you everyone if your cat suffers from health issues take the vets advice but also pray for them!! Saint Jude is such a caring and loving Saint he has truly worked miracles for me as I do not need to keep hiding pumpkin in my cats food anymore to help her go

You saved my cats life!! With your Rhemedy using Colon rescue cat essential! She started with diarrhea and blood in her stool constipation hiding under the bed, I was trying to help her she ended up not eating or drinking or pooping at al I rushed her to the vet! She was so sick dehydrated and her liver enzymes were sky high, she needed fluids she got a shot of steroids for the colitis, and sent her home with appetite enhancer to get her up eat I had to feed her with a syringe the first day or so she was so weak, she also prescribed antibiotics and steroids, I’m giving her her meds and she did start eating on her own thank goodness she was still not feeling well her meow was low and still weak . As soon as I gave her a dose of the colon rescue she snapped out of it and is feeling better!! I will continue to use this it saved her!! Also got milk thistle by Hawaiian farm to get her liver enzymes up I started that today it’s supposed to work very well! Thank you!!🙏😍

Thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge! YouTube is full of "fix it quick" videos & our animals require more from us. Learning about their entire system & how everything & everyone in their environment impacts them. Sometimes solutions aren't simple or quick & what you share really helps me help my cat. It is very empowering to prevent unnecessary suffering & being able to intervene before the problem escalates. Thank you again, you are awesome!

Yes when I got my cat who was a rescue and age 4, she had such bad gut issues. So I right away transitions her to raw food that she took to right away. I add some supplements to her daily meals. She always poops everyday but not a ton snd not super stinky. Last summer she didn’t poop for several days so I got very concerned. She gets salmon oil pretty much daily as well as a probiotic and enzyme blend snd prebiotic and some grass powder. I discerned that she likely got overstressed because I had to take her on the road to take care of my mom. She loves my mom but possibly being around my moms cat for the first time and I had to leave her overnight for the first time. I put hot water in my cats food. She loves it cuz it makes her food more body temp and she looks forward to it. She just doesn’t like to drink water tho I leave some out for her just in case. I regularly put egg yolk in my cats food. I put a whole egg yolk in her food once a week. As a treat I will give her a little extra raw liver in her food that also seems to help on the rare times she’s gotten constipated over the past three years she’s been with me. My cat has never had hairball issues which makes me so happy. Thanks for sharing these suggestions. My vet says the things I’ve been doing with her have made her such a healthier cat. She’s only gotten healthier every year. She especially attributes it to the raw food

Thank you so much for this video. I appreciate it ❤ My cat i 6 months, and after having him neutered he started pooping outside in the balcony. He is constipated - and I am not sure if it is because of the neutering? He is on painkillers, and will stop with it tomorrow. I dont know if the constipation - and pooping outiside is an indication of stress/pain or simply his food? He eats wetfood, which I always add extra water in. But he also eats dryfood. The dryfood I changed two weeks before he got neutered - and at that time he didnt react at all with constipation.. I am confused and I dont know what to do..

I do. SiriusBlack is 17 yrs of age and he just went through Weekend in ER big bill. He was able to poop after 3 enemas. He has meds to continue with for 3 days. I am checking his litter box for urine amounts and poop which is still somewhat liquid. I am worried that he is no drinking enough water as he did before. I do have him on special diet for kidney care.
