K-Miata has a shifter that you would bolt to the shifter location then modify a shifter shaft going from the BMW transmision to the remote shifter location. The original BMW transmission had this piece that would attach to the transmission and then the other end would slip into a rubber bushing in the transmission tunnel which is very limited in locations. Just some advice, for the pilot bearing adapter, you could probably throw the piece in the freezer for some time to allow it to shrink slightly, which would make installation easier.

You should make a drive shaft and shifter for this kit

ahhhh now i see how it works. As for the shifter solution i think it is pretty easy. Maybe a nice CAE BMW shifter and the adjustable shift rod. So if you need a longer length or shorter then you can simply adjust to reach the shifter once it is bolted down

Just heads up, the two of these adapters I've done I freeze that input shaft bushing adapter. It shrinks it enough to where it's a fraction of the effort to install.

Sorry in advance for the hoard of questions, but there's not much information from what I can find for an IS300

What did you guys use for shifter and linkage? To me these are the most difficult parts to source.
Can you tell us the driveshaft length for a 6 Speed ZF to an IS300?
Any major wiring that had to be done to get the speedometer and reverse lights to work?

The kit is super helpful but there are smaller but significant items that I'm trying to identify to pull the trigger for myself. Thank you

What transmission did you use? Or perhaps what bmw transmissions would hold 500whp? Out of what BMW car models?

But the bmw shifter use a arm to move the shifter linkage. so the original shifter location may fit. :)

Any thoughts on the bmw 524 td….what manual tranny it will bolt too? Are the gas and diesels share similar bolt patterns?

Besides the e36 m3 pressure plate used what clutch did you go with I’m having a hard time trying to find ones capable of over 600ft of torque???
