MLB Now talks about Francisco Lindor's excellent season, and if he has a legitimate case to win the National League MVP.

lindor, he plays every inning of every game for the entire season. Shohei plays when its time to hit. Give him the silver slugger and hank aaron award

Ron is completely right, he deserves to be a leading MVP candidate.

If Lindor did win MVP he would join a short list of players who were snubbed an AllStar spot and won MVP in the same year.

50/50 is exactly right! Ohtani sits for MORE than HALF the game while Lindor contributes everyday in every way.

If he keeps this up and we makes the post season he deserves it

For a Dh to win MVP he would have to break records in all the numbers he can actually put up as a hitter only as well as be the reason that his team makes the playoffs when all you have to do is walk up to the plate and swing four or five times a day, it’s a lot different than playing shortstop for nine innings every day. I don’t see how this is even a comparison you’re talking about a part-time player versus a full-time player. I’m sure Lindor’s numbers would be greatly improved if he was only a DH.

That last quote weighs heavy, there are days where Ohtani isn't the MVP in his team. If the Mets make the playoffs Lindor should get MVP there's no way the Mets were in the race without him. The same cannot be said for shohei. (Also they already did him dirty not making him an all star this year)

MVP is for the entire season, not June through September.

Ronnie does a great job of breaking this down. Nothing disparaging about Ohtani, and basically this is a comparison between a position player and the DH.

Only people who think Ohtani at this point are Mets haters, people who don’t know ball, or people who just listen to whatever MLB shoves down their throats.

The MVP goes to Ohtani if he makes it to 50/50.

Only 🤡 clowns can debate that Lindor can beat out Ohtani for MVP

Lindor is the MVP! it contributes to offense & defense numbers & he has those numbers to back it up. If Ohtani wins, then I am a firm believer that the MLB is completely rigged. I know it won't be the first time that MLB rigged its way to satisfy their own agenda.

18th in avg, 3rd in runs, 4th in hits, 10th in rbi, 3rd in total bases, 9th in SB, 16th in OBP, 5th in SLG, 8th in OPS. That's some horrible stat line for being an MVP of an entire league. Possibly one of the worst ever if he does win MVP. Not even a single number 1 or 2 in any of those. Those are not MVP numbers that's for sure no matter how good your defense is. If he does win MVP, NL is a joke of a league having him represent them.

They're just making noise to keep Ohtani's gambling implication under the rug. No way he didn't know.
