I like pushrods engines and overhead cam engines they both can be very reliable if build well. Pentastar should be avoided unless you get a good deal or are handy with cars. Nissan VQ V6 are more reliable overall but design not the greatest when something goes wrong or if it needs major service or repairs other than a oil change.

Let us remember where the American Big 3 got their first 4 cylinder engines…Japan. GM joined force with Toyota, Ford with Mazda and Chrysler with Mitsubishi. Chrysler went back to their old technology and it’s caused them many problems. Sure they’re cheaper to purchase but nightmares to maintain in later years. They’re sure keep JT well employed though…😅

No issues with Honda b series but they have rockers on a shaft with internal oiling vs rockers with rollers. I don't think I have ever seen a Honda b series with rocker failure as a casual part. It's always aggressive aftermarket cams that wipe out the rocker pads

You have to have them on a pushrod engine and ohv engines are more compact. For a mopar product with overhead cams though? Thats how they guarantee the upsell

well i mean rockers are easier to adjust lash. and can adjust the size like 1.5 to 1.76. or so on. but cam on bucket your pretty my limited to what ever it is beside the cam its self. and i haaaate having to shim those
