Today we take a dive into one of the most iconic Beach Boys' collections of them all. 2003's "Sounds of Summer" was a massive success and might very well be the best-selling record of all time for the group. A collection of most of the group's Top 40 hits, there is quite a bit to dig into here!

Released to both vinyl and CD in 2003 and featuring commentary by Anthony DeCurtis, "Sounds of Summer" also came in many variants (some of which we will cover in later videos.) I'll show you the CD/DVD combo pack ("Sights of Summer") and the exclusive orange version. We will cover the 2022 expansion, the forgotten sequel, the EMI release, and other oddities in future videos.

What are your thoughts on this iconic release? What are some of your favorite Good Vibrations?

If you got the three-disc set, you got it all in my opinion. It's all good on there.

I have the 2016 repressing on vinyl, and had the original 2003 CD. Great collection to help discover the band. I got the repress as the recent reissue (the 3 CD/6 (?) LP sets) was outta my price range.
