Miracle friend inspires MercyMe’s powerful new song

The band’s new single, "Say I Won’t" is inspired by the story of Gary Miracle, who lost his arms and legs after falling into septic shock due to complications from the flu.

Such a good story out of a terrible trial. I had severe sepsis with kidney failure two days after my mother passed away. It is a terrible thing to have. I am so blessed to have survived with no kidney damage. God is good. I am sorry yours was so rough. Good that you have a sense of humor! Only way.

Amen! I was a brand new 45 y/o nurse in 2006 when I began to speak like Yoda and walk drunk. Later I was diagnosed with Brain Vasculitis and was given approximately 3yrs to live. My husband eventually left me as I got worse in my symptoms. But then God smiled 😁. I am still here😇. My arteries in my brain opened. The inflammation disappeared. The multiple strokes left me a bit like Dori in "Finding Nemo" 🥰🦋 but God's Grace is sufficient for me and I praise Him every day for second chances! God is so good to me😊 2021💃

I was very angry when I broke my ankle. But hearing this man's story really brought me back to earth. God is good, and He doesn't give up on us. We just have to be willing to let Him work in our lives. GOD IS GOOD and HE DOESN'T GIVE UP ON US!!!
