He literally said nothing wrong or untrue and he’s getting fired

Laporta can't seem to stick to his word. Same treatment with Messi.

Only in fc barcelona you are begged to stay only to be sacked a week later! what a circus!!

What if Xavi purposely said those comments to try to make Joan Laporta mad and fire him to make Laporta look bad. I mean he wanted to leave anyways. 😂

Is the mentality! He is already given up before the season starts.

If Xavi believes Barca can't compete why bother? More than 80, 000 people come to the stadium with hope and believe everyone knows its hard to compete with Real Madrid but if the coach doesn't believe on his team who else to believe in the project?

Xavi is the worst manager I have ever seen.

Complaining about every thing reffere, gras is to high or to low, not good enough squad etc.

Barcelona have good team, having want only play Spanish players that's problematic.

Real Madrid have ancelotti otherwise they wouldn't even make the group stage.

Xavi announces he’s leaving Barcelona.
Barcelona beg Xavi to stay.
Xavi agrees to stay.
Barcelona sack Xavi.
LEGENDARY EXIT!!!

After seeing how Koeman was treated when he was given zero money to spend after Messi left, I don’t know why Xavi just expected the money to keep rolling in after being given over 250m Euros to spend. And I don’t feel sorry for Laporta when he had a guy who was willing to stay even with the financial issues and treated him like garbage.

Should I laugh at Barcelona staff members or Bayern (that are approaching Kompany)

To correct Gab, it was Deco who traveled not Laporta to meet Flick

I would have sacked him too. He showed weakness by making excuses for why he would not do good next season. If he doesn’t believe he can find success with the current Barca resources then hire someone else who does.

Laporta and his goons should just resign at this point for turning the club into a joke

So telling the truth which the whole world knew gets him fired? Only Laporta is that idiotic to come out and say everything is fantastic we are in great shape. Xavi should leave they don’t deserve him

Xavi should have been sacked even before he announced he’s leaving after the season end, and hopefully he goes together with Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, Roberto and Alonso wherever he goes. Barca need to keep Felix and keep Roque for the future giving him decent playing time.

ESPN is so dumb. This was never about "comments".

Barca Bayern clown off, Barca might win vs Bayern finally. Xavi said he would leave and laporta begged him to stay, he stays. Then xavi actually speaks the truth for once and laporta is mad and wants to fire him, which will cost them even more money and make them even more broke.😂

I think Xavi would leave just like Pochettino left Chelsea
