She is not a great actress, she was counting on her looks, Meghan said the first job she auditioned for was “ hot girl number 1.” Can you imagine Meryl Streep, Judi Dench, Brenda Blethyn, Maggie Smith etc. auditioning for hot girl number 1. Serious actors and actresses go on the stage, take acting classes, audition for smaller character roles because they are interested in acting NOT being a star. Royalty versus celebrity can be the noticeable difference as actress versus star. Meghan wanted to be the STAR in both situations.

Britain made its reparations long ago. Not only was it the first country to abolish slavery, it spent a fortune on policing the seas to prevent other countries from continuing the practice - only finishing repayment the debt that it incurred this century. We have continued, and still continue, to support Africa with vast sums in aid ever since. If they have not received the benefits of that aid, maybe it is more than time for these peoples to clear out corruption within their own countries. Descendants of former slaves have, wherever they found themselves, had many generations in which to improve their lot. If they were denied that opportunity, they should seek restitution trom those governments or from the tribes who sold them into slavery in the first place and stop trying to keep sucking off the teat of the nation that put an end to the multinational slave trade of the time.
