As someone who's been on YouTube for 11 years, I would not recommend spending money to gain subscribers. You should be focused on making consistent quality content that people want to view. Organic growth is super powerful and yes, putting some money behind it at some point may be valuable. But getting millions of organic views a month, feels great.

Great video Noah, my takeaway was to treat it professionally and not like a hobby. We have made almost 100 videos in ~14 months and it's only in March that we started to catch fire. After releasing a series of shorts to all subscribers and some lower quality videos we realised the best answer is always just to release quality content every time.
