obama talked about the need for infrastructure 2008 but congress shut it down. unfortunately this is the effect of the neglect of not getting it done.

I could not celebrate Labor Day yesterday knowing people are starving, misplaced, lost everything, without electricity, and mourning family members. I feel so bad that I don’t have funds to help. All I can do is pray.

It is always a good idea for other family members and friends to take photos of your growing children, so that if disaster strikes, and you lose all of your photos, there will be others. It can be tricky protecting old photos. But it is important to think about this before disaster strikes.

Dont people see the damage after the storm? why do people think power will simply be back online when power lines are down all over the place. This is the difference between a real storm and just light bad weather. Real storms do major damage that cant be fixed overnight. here in Puerto Rico we were out of power for several months, 5 to 6 on average, others the whole year. How did many get by, , with generators large and small. which does make a mess in terms of air quality but it keeps things afloat. ANd for others with no power at all... its freaking rough. plain and simple. And take it to another level if you dont have running water. problem is. people are too spoiled. going without power aint fun, it is what it is.

The warnings were given by meteorologists.
Problem is the governors are not knowledgeable of meteorology to call an evacuation with confidence.
If we gave the meteorologists the power to call an evacuation the politicians might learn something.

After realizing what the GOP are doing, it's hard to understand why people still vote for them.
