Ruth Gottesman, a former professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the widow of a Wall Street investor, announced she is donating $1 billion to the school in the Bronx. Free education is super important to progress. We may very well have some very gifted people that can contribute to the world in so many positive ways, however they are not privileged enough to have access to education. Imagine how many capable doctors may have, turned away by the financial class they fall into. Sure there are scholarships and money for those that rise well above the others, however that is but a small fraction of the population. There are many quite capable people that will never have a chance.

Wow what about all the other important jobs out there? Where is that 1b going to next? And seems kinda weird that they would do this to medical students at the time of wars going on.
