When you think about it, Rickard Stark's southron ambitions will ultimately come into play in ways he couldn't have conceived. It seems the allies he made or possibly attempted to make will be a major contingent of the survivors, albeit in weakened state and many will have fairly weak heads compared to the Starks. There's Robin Arryn and Edmure Tully, of course. Whether it's Edric Storm or Gendry, there will be a bastard in the Stormlands. Gendry had ties to Arya. Edric's a little less clear, possible Davos will be an influence there. Ned's actions, such as the were, generated some appreciation, if not outright loyalty from the Daynes. We know they were testing the waters of an alliance there and if the Howland theories come to pass, there's a direct link between them and a Stark bannerman (who may have the only fresh army on the continent). He's also probably tied to Bran through Bloodraven.

Even Tyrion were interested, it's unlikely anyone would be interested in more Lannister rule by the end. The Hightowers seem to go the way of the winners, so there won't be a challenge there.

I think Varys and illyrio wanted Faegon to be king from the start. They arranged the marriage of Dany and Drogo, hoping the dothraki would cross the narrow sea and wage war on westeros, and no matter which side wins, Faegon and the gold company would swoop in and claim the spoils of war.

You're videos are about some of my favorite things, L.O.T.R., A.S.O.I.A.F.,I greatly enjoy your energy, very positive and that makes a big difference to me personally when it comes to the videos and podcasts and other escapes from covid-19 depression.
