Terry: "I prefer parmesan."

Funnily enough "I pronounce every letter" is the correct way to read most Italian words in standard Italian. "Mutsarel" is an old Sicilian dialect.

"What part of Italy are you from?"
"Jersey."

American Italians are so proud of their heritage that they make up new rules for it lmao

"muzzawel"
"mutserell"
"moozarell"
"Shush Tony, you ain't from Sicily, you're a fifth generation American and can't even point out Europe on a map, let alone Italy."

Listening to this as an italian is like listening to a blind man correcting another blind man about the color of the car that just passed by 😅

Italian here. Look it's very simple:
It's "Mozzarella" if you're speaking Italian, it's "Mozzarell" if you're speaking Neapolitan and it's "overpriced processed cheese" if you're in the US.

That ending had me dying. "I am also here for the free cheese." Was so unexpected but we all knew Terry was gonna just show up.

Dropping the vowels at the end of Italian words is an American-Italian thing, not an Italian thing.

It's crazy cause new yorkers think they're Italian and they think it's pronounced "mutzarell", when in Italy it's pronounced mozzarella

As someone whose parents literally came from Italy in the '70s, I can confirm it's mozzarella. Moustarel Is New York slang of Sicilian dialect. It's like how the South talk's different from Northern US and then you have even wilder dialects in the swamps and the rural mountains.
