QOTSA In Times New Roman is my album of the year, both in it's production and delivery. Plus I've seen them live and they have to be my favorite live band next to Tool. For entirely different reasons. I gotta look into Slow dive, haven't heard that one yet.

For me my favourite is In The Wild by the interrupters. As a person who has been dealing with depression, emotional abuse and many more, this album is a gem for me the lyrics are sad but uplifting, dark but hopeful in parts “Anywhere Was Better.” “Raised by wolves.” Are a good example of what I mean. “In The Mirror.” Really hits for me whenever I’m down “My Heart.” Is a touching number “Jailbird.” “Kiss The Ground.” And “The Hard Way.” Just brings my spirits up Aimee’s voice carries the whole album through with her raspy passionate voice and the rest of the band are no slouches on their respective instruments ether and really there is nothing else to say but fantastic album.

1. Reborn Superstar by Hanabie.
2. Forgone by In Flames
3. Periphery V: Djent is Not a Genre
4. Heavener by Invent Animate
5. Superbloom by Silent Planet
6. Symptoms of Survival by Dying Wish
7. War of Being by TesseracT
8. But Here We Are by Foo Fighters
9. Dogsbody by Model/Actriz

Though i definitely didn't love the Sleep Token album like most people do. I found it very middle of the road, but it being your #1 is enough for people on having a reason to unsubscribe is very childish of them.

I think a great comparison that stuck out with me on But Here We Are is Rush’s Vapor Trails.
Both albums are focused on the loss of Family, Grief and recovery while also using a rawer style of production. Which is likely accurate as Rush were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame by Taylor Hawkins himself.

Great album. It’s the Vapor Trails of the 2020’s.

Here to plug PetroDragonic Apocalypse by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard as my #1 album this year. It’s a great prog metal album with a loose concept by a band that jumps around different genres but kills it just about every time. The song Dragon was my intro to the band and it melted my face off and I’ve been hooked ever since. They did thrash well a few years ago with Infest the Rats Nest but PDA is another level

2. More Power more pain - Gideon
3. The Death We Seek - Currents
4. Take Me back to Eden - Sleep Token
5. Superbloom - Silent Planet

I also really enjoyed Invent Animate, Avatar and Code Orange albums!
