There is such a thing as bread sausage, though to be good, they gotta have more than just bread. My mother and aunt like to make a bread and pork sausage (aka, alheiras) with some herbs and other ingredients. It's quite tasty.

My father would make a bunch of ham sandwiches in the beginning of the month and freeze them for school lunches. I hated him for that, they were still frozen in the middle during lunch. I can't eat ham to this day because of it.
