After my grandfather got mauled to death by that rat I would go to the office of the London underground everyday to complain just how irresponsible it is that the announcement that day sounded so annoying. I hope this is a step into a more positive future and people like my grandfather can have peace from now on because they hear your voice when they pass.

London-based YouTuber Adrian Gray (29) has been chosen to voice the announcements on the incoming rolling stock for 2024. Gray's only previous voiceover work was the voice of 'seal 12' in a recent nature documentary, and he was awarded this new position largely out of nepotism. Adrian said 'I was delighted to find out I will be the voice of the Underground announcements and can't wait to get recording and also to sort out these lawsuits between me the Build A Bear Workshop.'

As someone who lives in New York City but is a giant Anglophile and visits London at every possible opportunity, hearing those quotes is making my head spin. Which are London Underground quotes? Which are NYC subway quotes? They both sound impossibly familiar. 😂
