Factoring quadratic trinomials

This video will help you factor general or quadratic trinomials.
Just follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Always check for the GCF

STEP 2: Make sure that the given is written in standard form 〖𝒂𝒙〗^𝟐+𝒃𝒙+𝒄

STEP 3: Factor the first term

STEP 4: List down the factors of the third term, then add each pair of factors

STEP 5: Get the factors of the third term whose sum matches the middle term of the given the factors of the third term, then add each pair of factors

If a is not equal to 1, you can use the technique used in my last example.
