Great video! I was just at CVG for the first time a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised at the size and attractiveness of the airport. The plane spotting area is a terrific feature. I highly recommend that you visit Los Angeles International Airport sometime. There is a small city park at the end of the two northern runways so every landing 777, 747, A330 and A380 goes directly overhead. It's impressive! There is another city part by the two south side runways too. The weather is often good in L.A. so plane-spotting is pretty easy to do year-round. Put LAX on your bucket list along with SFO, another major airport with a fantastic plane-spotting park nearby!

I was in the airline industry for decades, starting in the 1970s, and have tons of memorabilia from the airline industry that dates back from the 1940s through the beginning of the 21st century. I think a lot of the younger aviation enthusiasts get their info on websites like Wikipedia & I find a lot of misinformation from these sites. The first flight to CVG in 1947 was AA from CLE, but it made stops in CAK & CMH before arriving in CVG. The first three airlines provided more than an average of 24 daily departures from CVG in 1947. AA had 20 daily departures; DL had 14 daily departures; TW had 18 departures a day for a total of 52. Info is from my airline timetable collection in 1947. Also, FL was not the first low cost carrier in CVG in 2013. I know these carriers are before your time but People Express (727s, 737s) Midway Airlines (Express Service 737s), Florida Express (BAC1-11), & Presidential Airways (737s, BAE 146) provided low cost jet service to CVG in the 1980s & Vanguard Airlines had 737 service in the latter 1990s. I'm sure there might be others but these came to me instantly. The Airline Deregulation Act of 1978 made for a surge of new airlines. People Express (began in 1981) was the largest & first to start charging for baggage, drinks, & snacks.
