I don't suppose the men even thought that their expedition would be viewed by other adventurers in over 100 years in the future.
Most of us expect none to remember us in 100 years from now, nor no-one be still alive who ever knew us.
This is such a privilege to be enjoying your visit.

Got to appreciate those adventurers, they were going to somewhere as almost as unforgiving as the moon at that time. Very rudimentary provisions, thousands of miles from home and safety.🇬🇧
