Toronto to Montréal - A Complete Road Trip - September, 2023

A full road trip from Downtown Toronto to Downtown Montréal. We begin by following Lake Shore Blvd. to the Gardiner where we head east through downtown and north on the Don Valley Parkway. We then follow Highway 401 and A-20 east for most of the way until we head into Downtown Montréal via A-30, A-40, A-15, and Route 136. The video ends just beyond the Ville-Marie Tunnels.

The contrast between the Gardiner and Don Valley Expressways is astounding. It’s valleys of highrises on the Gardiner and then you’re in a forest valley on the DVP.

you can see that quebec is more poor than Ontario simply by comparing roads.

I like your videos. About 60 years ago, there used to be one long route 2 that went from Windsor, ON to the Nova Scotia border. Much of it was replaced by ON-401 & QC A-20. I think the old route in Ontario may be the county route 2's in the video.

Nice video, done this drive quite a few times. That truck driver in the left lane was absolutely infuriating. It’s so annoying most of them come to canada and don’t bother to learn common courtesy or rules of the road.

I'd argue most of this section of the 401 needs to be widened to 6 lanes (3 in each direction). Certainly between Cobourg and Kingston it needs to be such, and from Kingston to Prescott it's pretty close to being warranted.

Due to the truck staying in the left lane for several kilometers, I definitely agree to say that Hwy 401 should be widened to 3 lanes on each direction even further east of Cobourg. Also, do you have more videos from your October trip to Quebec?
