You need to cook the noodles in the broth.You add the seasoning to hot water, add noodles and cook it to your preference. I am not sure about the tom yum one, but the one we get in India is made like that. Just for your reference

Hi, this is how you are supposed to make maggi noodles
Take 1 and a half cup water in the pot set it on a stove on a medium flame then add the seasoning packet let the water boil when u see little bubbles coming up then add the noodles then let it cook just when u think it is done turn off the flame and close with a lid and your done ( this for a little drier version of u want more soup add 3/4th cup water 😊

Tom Yam is a thai soup rly popular in Malaysia (where this particular maggie is from) and yea if u dont like sour n hot then u wont like Tom Yam and if u dont like Tom Yam u wont eat this lmao

You should try another version of maggi tomyum. The maggi tomyum you just had, already discontinue their product and replace their powder into liquid paste. The liquid paste taste better.
