I started my fiesta on Monday and finished it lunch time yesterday, without your videos I would've been lost, thank you!

Still seems to be a lot of garages that are reluctant to take on these timing belt changes. I believe main dealers are charging about 15 to 1700 pounds for the work. It’s great to see independent garages like yours that are prepared to take on this work.👍

One of my mates owns a garage, he had a wet belt in yesterday, the oil pickup was totally blocked!
The teeth had started to sheer off the belt!
65k miles!!

Iam thinking the fuel we use plays a part in the wet belts breaking down (E10 ) as this stuff rots rubber and when it's burnt some by products of this ends up in the oil and be worse if oil changes neglected the oil itself will probably do this but what about the ethanol content mixed with the fuel wonder if this has a part in the problem

Great video Baz, on my second ecoboost now and no problems whatsoever, first one was a belted one and this one is the chain variant.

We have just had to replace our cat on our focus 1.0. The car was gutless has been for a long time just manged to pass the mot. It was the waste gate of the turbo broke and punched a hole though the cat,

You’re getting so fast at these it’s difficult to know what’s timelapse and what’s in real time!

was just having a think when i saw you with your piece of cardboard for the timming cover bolts. do you think it would pay for someone to produce some sort of plastic type board with holes in it to store the bolts instead of using cardboard all the time. something like a screwdriver holder but bigger and with various size holes for all size bolts. dont know if its a silly idea or wether a lot of mechanics would be interested in something like that.

Baz would it be impossible to use a camera in through the sump plug to examine the oil pickup gauze for contamination.
