Another informative video. Its great when people share their skills and Knowledge. All you need to do now is remember Where you put it when you get a broken Vauxhall. I can't see it sitting on the shelf for long😂😂🍺🍺

Excellent video and tutorial to repair this type of pumps, thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Can you tell me the specification and type of oil with which the pump is filled.
And the type of liquid to clean the parts.
Greetings from Mexico.

I have my technique where I dont need to remove the ball bearing seal. I top up the pump with oil through the oil seal. By the way, I dont use ATF cause it has friction enhancers. Rather I use 70w50 oil gear. Its hydraulic as well as lubricant

Why ATF….Oil…I think it needs to be 80W-90 gear oil ?😮 Thatś new to me, it says everywhere in the Videos and in the information sheets.Gear Oil-90, I think Interesting…

Hi, thanks the video. Really helpfull. Our Vectra runs just like it used to. Would you mind giving me some advice on how to remove the rubber air bleed bowl from the underside of the pump housing please. I'm reluctant to start wrestling the cover off before i know whats coming. There's a drip coming from there and i hope just replacing the small rubber bowl that comes with the seal kit will solve the problem. Also, do you know what the other black 'O' rings is for? Thanks in advance. Andy, Swindon

Currently got one of these in my workshop. Can't get a pump. Do they have to be timed up once replaced?

I followed your video about changing a timing belt and water pump on a 1.2 Renault clio. I have to change rocket cover gaskets so i was going to set the valve timing but it give two different feeler gauge thickness . 1 is for camshaft with groove and 1 for chamshaft without groove. How would i know which camshaft is in my car. Thanks for any help.

Nice video.
I gave up trying to drill out the ball bearing and instead ...
(1) bench-drilled a new parallel 5mm hole close to it
(2) cut a new thread by hand with a self-drilling roofing screw (the galvanised type with a hex-head that comes with a rubber O-ring)
(3) cut the pointy end off the screw

Question: Like you, i've got the black O-ring left over from the repair kit! Where is that supposed to go?

I repaired my hpfp and the membranes have been fine, but the oil seal (shaft seal?) keeps om getting pushed out after about 2 weeks. Have anyone had the same issue ? I used ATF as oil.
