KAYAK COMPARISON: 8 INFLATABLE KAYAKS that I've owned! Advanced Elements, Itiwit, Kokopelli

This overview video briefly presents and compares 8 kayaks of varying types based on first-hand experience - they're all kayaks I've owned and paddled. Inflatable kayaking has become something of a lifestyle for me over the past year. When I started, I realized it took a lot of time to research information on different kayaks and compare models, so with this video, my goal is to help others that may be in a similar situation. This channel, Air On The Water, aims to do just that - help and inspire other paddlers / prospective paddlers by providing examples, information, and advice on inflatable kayaking and stand up paddleboarding.

Excellent video! I'm a big fan of the Advanced Elements Expedition Elite as it can handle most any water/wind, excellent stability/speed/tracking and built with high quality materials.

The seat on the X500 is definitely uncomfortable after a while. I'm thinking of rigging something to go over the seat back, with either a couple of gel bike seat pads or a long gel wrist rest for keyboards. Otherwise I LOVE the boat, now that I'm starting to gain some confidence with it. I've done a 3-day trip with mine, and could go longer, but I bungeed the pump and bag onto the aft deck.

QUESTION: If I am stumped between the Itiwit 500 and the Adv. Elements Airfusion EVO, any advice ? Your personal preference and WHY greatly appreciated ❗ I prefer speed and tracking to be my most important priorities...

FYI I tested a Pakayak that I thought I was in love with and on the brink of buying untested.... It proved heavy, slow, and even leaked unfortunately... Thank god I tested it first WHEW.... 🙏

Hey. How does Advanced Elements Kayak handle if weather is warm, but water is mighty cold? Is it safe to use? Air pressure drops when it get cold but does it affect paddling?

For sea use, do you recommend Evo or X500? Which is faster? I tried an X500 in a moderate wind day and I found that the boat, with side waves, turns in wind in a way that is difficult to manage. I found myself paddling almost only with upwind paddle to go straight
