The crunchy peanut butter dilemma reminded me of that video of the little boy getting off the bus, and his mom greeting him so kindly, and the first thing the little boy says is "terrible sandwich, by the way" 😂

I would have stuck that peanut butter in a blender/food processor and blended those crunchy pieces right on up. 😂

Up until he passed, my grandpa would always make me peanut butter toast with orange marmalade on it for me for breakfast whenever I was down to visit whether for the day or a few weeks. Every single morning. I love it! However, I was not a fan of the orange peels that they put in the marmalade. It was a weird texture and I was convinced it tasted funny. My grandpa would scrape out every peel before giving it to me. He did this up until I was like 15 because by then I had gotten use to eating the peels since at home no one would scrape them out for me so it was do it myself or just eat the toast. So I learned to like it. But not once did my grandpa ever stop offering to scrap it out for me. What I wouldn't do to have just one more morning sitting with my grandpa while he made me toast and scraped the peels for me ❤️ I totally support scraping the peanuts out! He'll out grow it one day but the love and appreciation for the effort will never go !

I absolutely think it’s valid to take out the crunchy bits from the peanut butter. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to make sure they eat.

My mom totally would have done something so small and tedious as scrape the bits of peanuts out of the peanut butter. It made me feel heard, valued, and loved that she would spend time doing these things for me. My closest comparison is that she was pick out absolutely every bit of cabbage/other vegetables in the Panda Express noodles because she knew this is how I enjoyed them. I'll never forget her standing at the kitchen counter sifting through noodles for me. How thoughtful and loving. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking the bits of peanuts out of the peanut butter for your sweet Flynn.
