Krioneri Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Parga, located right in the center of the town! 🏖️ The main promenade starts here, offering a wonderful variety of restaurants 🍽️, bars 🍹, and shops 🛍️, making it a vibrant spot to spend your day. Whether you’re in the mood to enjoy some delicious Greek food, sip on a refreshing cocktail, or browse through local stores, Krioneri has something for everyone. There are also travel offices where you can book excursions 🚌, sightseeing tours 🏰, and get all the info you need to make the most of your time in Parga. 🌞

What makes Krioneri even more special is the picturesque island of Panagia 🏝️ right in front, which is home to the beautiful church of Panagia (Virgin Mary) 🕍. This island, along with the Venetian fortress 🏰, are two of the most iconic landmarks of Parga. You can reach the island by boat 🚤, kayak 🚣‍♀️, or even swim 🏊‍♂️ across the crystal-clear waters! The sight of the church against the backdrop of the Ionian Sea is truly breathtaking, making it a must-visit spot.

The beach itself is a combination of sandy and pebbly shores 🌊, with a gradual entry into the sea, making it perfect for families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and anyone who enjoys a relaxed day by the water. The water here is a little cooler compared to nearby beaches, which is how Krioneri got its name (Krioneri = "cold water" in Greek 🥶). Despite the cooler temperatures, the beach’s inviting crystal-clear water 💎 and gentle waves make it a refreshing and enjoyable spot to swim.

For those who prefer a more comfortable experience, Krioneri Beach offers plenty of sunbeds and parasols ☂️ for rent at a reasonable price (around 5-10€ per day for a set). But if you’re a bit more adventurous and prefer a quieter, free spot, there’s a small area of the beach available for visitors who bring their own beach equipment 🌴. However, be warned – Krioneri is a popular beach, and it can get crowded, especially during peak hours! ⏰ If you want to grab the best spot, it’s best to get there early in the morning 🌅 to avoid the crowds.

If Krioneri isn’t your ideal beach because of the crowd, don’t worry! 😌 There are plenty of quieter alternatives in the area, like Lichnos Beach 🏖️, which is known for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, or the lesser-known Sarakiniko Beach 🌊, which is a hidden gem not far from Parga. Krioneri plaža 🏖️ je jedna od najpopularnijih u Pargi, smeštena u centru grada! Odavde počinje glavna šetališna ulica sa restoranima 🍽️, barovima 🍹 i prodavnicama 🛍️. Plaža je peščana i šljunkovita, sa postepenim ulazom u more i kristalno čistom vodom 💧. Voda je nešto hladnija nego na drugim plažama u okolini, što je objašnjeno imenom Krioneri (grčki: "hladna voda" 🥶).

Plaža ima ležaljke i suncobrane za iznajmljivanje (oko 5-10€ po danu), a manji deo plaže je slobodan za posetioce sa sopstvenom opremom 🌴. Krioneri je popularna plaža, pa je najbolje doći rano ujutro 🌅 kako biste našli dobar prostor.

Ispred plaže nalazi se ostrvo Panagia 🏝️ sa crkvom posvećenom istoimenoj bogorodici, a može se doći brodićem 🚤, kajakom 🚣‍♀️ ili plivanjem 🏊‍♂️. Ako tražite mirniju opciju, preporučujem Lihnos plažu 🏖️ ili manje poznatu Sarakiniko plažu 🌊, koje ću uskoro prikazati na svom kanalu.
