Guy here had wheel rake. Customers hated the trash. Went to rotary, customers were happy.

Have u ever tried seeding baling orchard grass, or is it to hot for it down there?

years ago round when round balers had pickups that were the width of the bale chamber the manufacturers made what were called converging or crop saver wheels that mounted on the ends of the baler pickups. Would a set of these on the ends of your baler pickups reduce the amount of hay left in the fields after baling the heavy windrows?

A smaller windrow would allow the baler to pick more grass up.
Watchung the straps on the outside of where baler ran.

Try a twin rotary rake instead of a wheel rake, imagine that’ll eliminate the lions share of your rerake.

Have you considered on a hay merger instead of a rake so it picks up the rows instead of the rake bringing up all the brown shit?

I’d start with trying to a different style rake. Those wheel rakes are just ripping the trash out of the ground.

instead of a tattoo i would just hold a business card with your name and number or even a piece of paper against the bale then it would be more difficult to pass your hay off as theirs
