I use 5 min mud for that So it dries quickly and I can do the opposite sides within 20 min and not have to wait long. I'm so glad I saw your I thought I was the only one doing that because I could do it all in one shot

Rarely find good advice on taping! This is good!! I've been taping daily since'94.

Im over in ontario and have been taping for about 10 years. Still learn useful tips from your videos. Got a basement this week and ill be trying out the lambs wool roller and this technique for the triple corners. Appreciate you.

Drywall pros in the 90s would’ve been shocked to learn a guy would one day have an entire miniseries dedicated to their craft and attract millions of viewers.

I just finished my garage, and NOW I see this. All my corners are trash. I resigned to never look up when I go in there. 😢

Part of why crown molding is great not saying you should give up on corners but it often hides imperfections and makes it looks really nice at the same time

I just use an internal tool and do all 3 at once. When sanding use an angled 3 inch (sharp) to get the corners nice and perfect

Great video. You guys never tried plastering, we do it in the uk, and plaster the full wall rather than tape and fill.

Now when dry, go in with your 5 and cut away the high spots and sharpen the angles. (Hope that makes sense)

Why not use corner knife? Just asking because that's how I do it and the corners are smooth and nice

What advice do you have for those with a weak pull out game?

I use fast mud for corners. I also only do one flat at a time. Yes takes longer but finishes nice

I wish I had the skill. My corners look like blobs. Sanding is the only thing that fixes them. I think some people can learn the skill like you but others like me are good at other things. But that’s what makes the world work. You need a programmer you call me. If I need a drywally carpenter I call you, or mess it up and try to fix it myself :)

There’s a pole that does it for you in about a 10th of the time. Columbia makes some amazing tools, and with all your views you can afford it

As a brit in the US, can anyone explain why skim coating the whole wall/ceiling with gypsum plaster isnt a thing out here? It gives a great smooth finish and is about 3x faster than taping and jointing and requires no sanding

The idea is to leave one ditch so that's two good sides one with a ditch I leave the ditch side on top to the left
