Thank you!  A "friend" blew a speaker in my old SWR Super Redhead. (He plugged in and turned up the guitar and didn't check that the amp was somehow on "11"... pow!) I purchased a new speaker (one of two) but have never done replacement before. The configuration appears similar to your video - so I hope the procedure is the same. You've given me the confidence to attempt it myself rather than take it into a service that will likely charge over $200 for the operation.

I'm looking to do a speaker swap. Any recommendation for a 80's 90's thrash tone?

Great stuff Mr TK. I do however have to ask you for some advice. I have a fender 212 r solid state 100 watt combo. I love the clean channel but the distortion channel just does not have the punch I am after. So...what speakers would you recommend so that I would keep the same sparkling cleans but gain a more full sounding distortion. Thanks for all your great video reviews and tutorials. Keep up the good work!

I'm using the Orange PiX CR35LDX which is a 10' 4ohm amp. Can I install a 12' with 8ohms speaker to it without any problems. Thinking of using a 12' Rocket 50 Celestion.

I have no problem with changing the speaker out but to leave Celestion for a lower line speaker? I think if anything maybe a Vintage 30... I dunno though.

tone king, ive got the randall wh40 you recently did a review on it...supposedly they had celestions, mine has a jvc speaker i want to replace it with a vintage 30, is it going to be plug and play? or am i looking at the combo not being powerful enough to push the speaker? any info would be helpful as there is zero info on the wh40

Hey TTK,

I have a shot at grabbing one of these and wanted to hear your thoughts on the cleans (all the reviews I've heard on the drive channel were amazing).
Would you say this thing is similar to a Fendery clean or closer to Marshall or even Peavey? IMO, cleans like the ValveKing 112 are unique in their own right. Warmer than Fender.

Great vid as always. Thanks man.

I'm sure TTK will give you great advise, IMHO before investing in new speakers I would try a nice distortion pedal into your clean channel. Chances are you local guitar shop has a similar amp in stock. Try out a few pedals. You might find the tone you're looking for for less than $100. Cheers!
