I have a piece of that angle iron in my store room same length an two of those clamps i will be making one in the coming week just need to go the store to the bolts an good bit useing my heavy duty hand drill. Thank for sharing.

Pipe clamps are cheap enough, have more adjustment capability, and are safer. So...this is definitely a hack job and pointless.

Good idea for someone who doesn't know that bar clamps exist! Just use wing nuts so that you don't need a wrench to adjust it for longer work.

That's a great alternate use of a broken C-Clamp, the L-Bar you use there will twist when clamping large objects, using a T-Bar instead will give you more clamping force and stability.
