Nice Tutorial. By the way, its good to make sure that the emulator is added as an exception in Windows Firewall. Or else the app crashes due to internet connectivity failure.

Instead of making the url2 variable you can use a foreach statement. This allows for multiple URLs to be passed which can be useful.

Very helpful thanks. When are you going to do a tutorial on how you managed to connect a 1980s typewriter to eclipse? :P

Thanks a lot - just what I have been looking for. One question - is there a limit on how many simultaneous asynchronous threads can be executed at any one time?

Thank you for this tutorial. I am trying to use the code for saving images to a directory my listview can import from. How do i do this instead of having the code display the images in a imageview as you do.

I thought means that one can call this function in two ways: DoSomething() or DoSomething(true); :O

Good Sir I am trying to read a textfile from my server but I fail to do so. I used AsyncTask but nothing helps. Can I do the same thing with your code for a simple text file instead of an image?
