I just realized that watching these walkthroughs of fancy apartments in Japan is the equivalent of my parents watching HG TV shows.

The 2nd one, $4400 Azabujuban, seems to be very practical and have a good view of the tower. Very spacious with lots of programmable space

Even though the second apartment has a somewhat outdated vibe, I find it very appealing due to its layout, the size of the living space, and the view. I'd say, "I'll take it."
But the third apartment... despite being a bit more expensive, having less square footage, and requiring the windows in the lower bedroom to be at least partially covered with frosted film for privacy, it really gives you something to think about. The two outdoor spaces are amazing. And if it would be possible to add a mezzanine in the room with the incredibly high ceiling...

The third one was incredible. I loved the mix of indoor and outdoor space. I always found a full backyard so wasteful, but most patios rather small. This feels like the perfect middle ground. You can always add blinds if wanted too, otherwise the natural sunlight is a great addition to the property.

Based on the title I was expecting a large tent pitched in a public park..

I'd love to know what you could get in the countryside like places like Gunma Prefecture. Hope you could do a video like that in the future.

I really love the view from the 2nd unit (can't beat the Tokyo Tower!) and it's such a practical unit (I can see myself renting something like this for a couple months for short-term living...or even buying an unit like this down in the road). I can see my kids loving the third unit though! Such a luxury to have a massive outdoor balcony from the apartment unit!!!
The first unit would be my dream unit to have in my 20s/early 30s :)

I'd go for the second apartment for just the view of tokyo tower alone. It seems to be a lovely place in a good location, and those views are to die for. Just imagine coming home, settling on the sofa and look out the window to see that view. I'd instantly unwind and love the fact that I'd live in such a gorgeous city.
