How To Make A Kydex Sheath Taco Style | Knife Making

Up until recently I've been making pancake style kydex sheaths; however, in an effort to try something new I've ventured into making taco style kydex sheaths. I must say that I enjoy making the taco style sheath more. It's easier during the construction phase of the sheath since it stays together easily. I also like being able to add a sweet thumb ramp to the back of the sheath (not the thumbnail for this video doesn't show the thumb ramp I eventually put onto that sheath!). Dude, your videos are great. So many people teach people HOW to do things, but they don't explain the WHY behind what they're doing. I've watched dozens of videos on making sheaths and you're the first person to mention the benefits of utilizing 3/4" hole spacing.

Excellent video on Kydex. I have made a couple pancake style, but never taco style. I really like the thumb ramp idea, and using an arbor press looks so much easier than a hammer. I think I have to make a kydex sheath now!
