Показать описание
🏠🔎 EPISODE 9 OF THE HOUSE DETECTIVE DIARIES! 🔎🏠
In this episode, I countdown the Top 5 most interesting, quirky, unusual or unexpected things I have uncovered during my house history research of houses outside Queensland.
I'll take you through the history of a gorgeous stone house at Quorn in country SA and the unusual emprise established in its back yard and a spectacular mansion (complete with tower!) at Kew in Melbourne with connections to WW1 explosives AND an amazing art work! I'll showcase an aspirational residential estate, a socially-minded tobacco factory and a beautiful house at Kensington in Sydney. I'll also answer the question of why the Kensington house has stables in its back yard! Hint: it's connected to what a completely different house at Fitzroy North in Melbourne has in ITS back yard!! 😱🤯 I also share the story of how getting in touch with a descendant of a former owner of a house at Bellingen in NSW via Ancestry, produced a treasure trove of photos and personal recollections of the house.
