Those who don’t like the interior it’s because they haven’t driven the 1794, it’s just awesome interior. I own one myself 2015, I did get rid off the chrome outside lol

Not a bad price, It's 63K MSRP here in Southern Ontario Canada.

Quick not, when your in the compass screen, while driving, it will display your speed for that current road your traveling on, pretty cool.

My favorite trim, by far. Bought my wife a Platinum Sequoia just for the Redrock interior. However, those wheels are HIDEOUS. They almost look like hubcaps they’re so bad. I’d immediately swap them to the Platinum rims.

Okay, let me begin by saying I'm 70 years old and at a point in my life when buying a new vehicle is a very expensive proposition not to be taken lightly. My wife and I have decided that it's time we saw a bit of the country, nothing outrageous, we live in upstate N.Y. and New England is an area we'd like to visit. Owning a pickup truck has always been something I've wanted but never owned so owning one is on the bucket list. I like the Tundra, I like it's simplicity, it's comparative lack of wiz-bang electronics and it's reputed reliability. So to make a long story short(er) we're considering the purchase of our first pickup truck. We're looking at a new (2019) RAM Laramie or a new Tundra Platinum/1794 model. The RAM is over the top with electronics is very comfortable gets decent gas mileage for its size but the 2019 models reliability is undocumented at this time. The Tundra has a resonable amount of electronics, is also comfortable but gets horrible gas milage. The one thing that keeps me away from purchasing a Tundra is the infamous “frame rust” issue. I have researched best I can trying find out whether or not Toyota has resolved this but haven't seen anything. Can anyone tell me if Toyota has resolved this problem? Again this is a large purchase for this point in my life and the last thing I want to deal with is a rusting frame. I know all vehicles rust (especially where salt is used in the winter) but I have never had a frame rust on any of the cars I've owned to the extent that I've seen on the Tundra. Thank you for your help.

Sweet truck. I test drove a 2017 before i got my pro. Loved the interior. Can't really go wrong with any trim IMO.

#allchrome! Love the Chrome. Love the leather. Wish I would have forked the extra dough for the Platinum or the 1794.

My limited has all the same equipment. $10k more for cooled memory seats, power folding mirrors, moonroof and those hideous wheels? Funny, I just noticed my truck didn't come with a chrome 4x4 badge on the tailgate.

Just FYI, in the beginning of your video where you pointed out the cross traffic sensors, those are the backup sensors. The cross traffic monitors are radar boxes located behind the side panels of the rear bumpers. I like the new gauge cluster, they are easier to look at compared to my 2016 cluster where they are all spread out.

I think the sunroof is optional for very tall men / very tall body men. Loose 2" of headroom for the sunroof & most luxury trucks have them std limited their purchases. I would buy the 1794 but I don't like the rims. I don't like a lot of chrome but I don't think they are a great looking chrome rim. I like the other Tundra rims a lot so I'm not sure why they dropped the ball on this rim.

The new 18 grill on the 1794 is a vast improvement. The smaller slits really look far better than those big “bars”

ill tell you this much tundradude, toyota has a long way to go to convince me that this 1794 truck is $12k better than an "18 sr5 crewmax with buckets and 5.7l...i know that model you got there is 4x4 and that adds a chunk.I bought a used '16 sr5 trd with 15k mi and havent looked back...keep up the great vids

Should add a disclaimer to the title... all the chrome burnt out my computer screen from the glare. Thnx Mark

I think for the money I would rather have the Platinum - looks like you made the right choice Mark, in buying the Platinum.

A little on the high side, but wondering how much it would cost as a one year lease return. 1794 or platinum
