Glad Prime works for you. I considered Prime 3 years ago but I got hired on at a small company with one terminal. I got my CDL in 2003 and they did not require me to take a CDL refresher course. I have progressed to running oversized loads and the main key is they do not micro manage me like the postal service .

It looks like prime just made it harder on their lease operators. Stay safe

Prime is really burying themselves. Wow, just wow. I’m still curious to what Prime is going to do when they pass the whole making leasing program illegal across the board. They have absolutely no plan.

The cameras, putting liability cost (new drivers wrecks) on the lease op’s, sounds the the old tactic of carriers avoiding layoffs by running off drivers. It’ll work short term but once the word is out it’ll be hard to replace the drivers who leave when the time comes. They’re not the first to do this. It rarely works long term.

Great insights and attitude. Thanks for your YouTube

Very informative vid! However you've had that new camera setup for two days and you've already gotten dinged twice? That's too much micromanagement. Major red flag IMO. Just stay safe out there and keep everything grounded! ❤

Tanker side loads that would pay lease ops really high revenues are being given to the company drivers, and we are being left to run the low revenue loads. Barley scraping by every week.

I came to prime in 2015 as a company driver. I have no complaints about Prime. It’s like any business. Just have to adjust and adapt.

Well I was gonna go Prime as a new guy doing company reefer and being solo, but sounds like I might hold off on them for now and go another route. Thanks for the great video!

What prime has been doing is shifting the liability to the lease drivers of the last nine years.

I was just watching your video. I have a question seeing if you can help me out I purchased four trucks outright. I have my own drivers and my own authority. I just signed two trucks underneath the prime. I was seeing if you know any other fleet owners that are doing well or is this a good option?

New people don't ever lease, you are responsible for everything including the loads you carry. Trucking is slow right now. Be a company driver and you can walk away at any time.

why wouold any company record the mistakes of a driver when it could be used in court?

The market crash of 2008 is the only reason they have any company drivers at all. Originally it was all lease purchase and they had the trucks governed at 76 MPH

Its a subtle point...but notice how often YT Presenters use the possessive "we" when they speak of the company they drive for..."We are (fill in the blank)." It suggests that many have misplaced mindsets with these carriers/employers...they will change policies in a hot minute for any reason, for their benefit. Therefore, live like today could be your last day with any carrier, even if you plan to retire there: So get out of debt...invest the majority of what you earn...keep your license clean...keep your options open. Money should buy us 2 things: Freedom of Time and Freedom of Opportunity. Don't buy stuff, buy Freedom. The Simple Path to Wealth by JL Collins covers it well.

Hi Kearsey! Great video! I am sorry about all the changes at Prime. I really feel sorry for TNT drivers! It sounds like you are going to have to pay Prime to run instead, of them paying you!????

Not sure if this helps. I was a lease who is switching to a fleet in mid May. No issues as of May 22nd.. but don't know if this was implemented after. I have gotten the dispatcher and everything but I'm waiting for my ifta stickers for Michigan which is super slow apparently
